There is nothing revolutionary about the shock rate of this bike. The shock leverage ratio starts at 3.06 at the beginning of the travel and ends at 2.7 with a slight progressivity. This could easily have been achieved with a conventional linkage. The reason for the rail is that the marketing department needs a "unique" design they can claim as being better than anything else. Don't believe the hype! I'm not saying it's a bad bike, but the rail does nothing unique.
